Dr. Temitope Falaiye

Dr Falaiye is a health care management professional with about a decade experience working with both local and international NGOs and leading Health Maintenance Organisations in Nigeria. An alumnus of the Obafemi Awolowo College of Health Sciences (Mb.CHB) and Olabisi Onabanjo University (MB.CHB), Temi is passionate about strengthening health systems through demand and supply-side interventions in order to increase access to affordable quality health services for all Nigerians.

He supported baseline surveys by Broadreach Healthcare to setup diabetic centres in Ikorodu (Lagos state) and Sagamu (Ogun state) for NovoNodisk. He was the State Team Lead for the UKaid/SuNMaP Net retention project which oversaw 20 local governments in Ogun state. He was also the State Team Lead for the UNITAID/Malaria Consortium Baseline Survey on the use of RDTs for Malaria case management in 20 local governments within the same state. He was a member of the medical operations team at Marina Medical HMO Ltd, where he also served as the Claims and Case Manager for the MTN Nigeria Health Scheme. At AXA Mansard Health, he led the Provider services and Quality Assurance team. He was responsible for the management of both the international and local provider network (over 1800 Healthcare providers in Nigeria).

He was recognised on two occasions by the management for exemplary contribution to the performance of the company. He also received a Customer Service Award for Outstanding Service to clients and multiple commendations from clients. At PharmAccess Foundation (an international NGO), he worked as a certified SafeCare healthcare quality assessor to support quality assessments of both public (primary, secondary and tertiary) and private hospitals across the country. He supported various international donor funded (USAID, MSD for mothers, Global Fund, etc.) health system strengthening interventions and was also the project coordinator for PharmAccess Foundation’s Output on the FCDO-funded LAFIYA programme in targeted states (Borno, Kaduna, Kano, Jigawa and Yobe)in Nigeria. He is poised to keep making impact in the healthcare delivery sector for years to come.
